Dr. Natalie Hunter is a Diagnostic Radiologist with a passion for excellence in health care delivery. She earned her Degree in Medicine and completed 5 years of Radiology residency in Vancouver, British Columbia. After finishing her training, she started her career working directly with patients in the field of breast cancer and breast health. She then transitioned to a wider spectrum of health care working as a general radiologist and reading X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, and MRI. She now works part-time in Vancouver, and part-time as a teleradiologist providing services to other communities.
In December 2013, she joined the Nisga’a Valley Health Authority as Radiology Medical Director and has since developed both the X-ray and Ultrasound services at the Gitlaxt’aamiks Health Centre. She works closely with two highly skilled technologists to deliver these services to the Nisga’a community. Whether it is ultrasound in pregnancy, x-rays after an injury, or imaging of chronic pain, the focus is on excellence in patient care. In providing a high quality program, Dr. Hunter hopes to foster pride in the local community service provided to the Nisga’a Nation.
